This item is better than its picture shows. The pestle is ceramic without wood. This makes for a better product, ease of cleaning and zero danger of contamination between materials. About 6 inches across with matte, unglazed interior. This is a one time purchase and all you will need. My thanks and I will shop again.
1 customer reviewsThis porcelain mortar and pestle set (also known as Molcajete) is perfect for crushing and breaking apart ingredients for lab or kitchen use. It comes with a footed bottom for stability and a pouring lip, and is glazed on the outside (the end of the pestle and the inside of the mortar bowl are unglazed). This is an excellent set to have on hand in the lab setting or kitchen environment!
