Electromagnetism - Oersteds Effect Classroom Demo Apparatus

Electromagnetism, discovered by Oersted - a Danish scientist, is the basis for the operation of electrical generators, induction motors, and more. This fascinating kit presents a modern version of Oersted's historical experiment. The students can actually experience and explore the effects of magnetic fields by using an electric wire to generate a current.  This electrical current and the magnetic field it generates cannot be perceived by the human eye, but students can observe the activity of the field by observing its effect on the magnetic needles of the compasses included in this kit.  This kit will help make a challenging property of physics clear through hands-on experimentation and real-world observation.
