frustrating

The protective coating on the mirrors was impossible to remove. The instructions were lacking... My young friend made the best of it and said we would use the less reflective back of the mirror pieces and seemed satisfied that she had successfully completed the project.. but disappointing to me.
great for fun & learning

built this w/ my 7 yr old grandson - color discs demonstrated primary & secondary colors - included objects make great designs. Only problem was that container for objects, which has to be loose to turn, is too loose and when it falls off, all those little objects scatter. Still love it.

Good basic kit -- I'm teaching a workshop for children on kaleidoscope making, so this was a good model -- we're going to use recycled materials, so we're shifting down, but this is beautiful

I am 80 years old and couldn't wait for my new "toy" to arrive. hahaha. God bless Dave Brewster for making the mistake on his application for a patent, causing this delightful item to fall instead into the public domain and delighting children of all ages for almost 200 years now.
