Ant Habitat Replacement Gel

Ensure the longevity of your pet or experimental ant colony with this 10 oz. package of replacement gel for ant habitats. The gel serves as both shelter and sustenance; as the ants tunnel, they receive nutrients from the gel.  This greatly streamlines maintaining the colony, since it eliminates the need for feeding or hydrating the ants as with simple soil. 

Prior to introducing the gel to the habitat, it will need to be heated for 5 to 8 minutes either in a microwave oven or on a stovetop. The gel will be hot when removed from the heating source and must cool for 5 to 8 hours after being poured into the habitat.
