Hoping it works for reason I bought it

I bought this laser pointer in hopes that it will highlight the limbs I need cut in my trees. It's hard to describe certain limbs that are way up high in a tree.

The only presenter with a purple LP

I got this for scientific presentations after I saw someone with a purple laser pointer. It's a small thing, but really makes you stand out when you're one in a bunch of speakers at a conference. This laser pointer is great--strong beam and doesn't get lost at a distance. Definitely recommend!

This item is well constructed, durable and has a high output -- when directed at some fluorescent objects, the visible light generated can be quite startling. The usual laser safety precautions are certainly to be observed.

Weakest beam I have ever owned.

I've owned a number of laser pointers in different diode colors and configurations, and this one has the weakest beam I have ever seen. I'm QUITE disappointed....
xUmp.com Reply: This laser pointer has the same power as all other laser pointers (about 5mW) however it does seem weaker because human eye is not as sensitive to purple color (it is most sensitive to green).

Yes, it projects a fairly blue/purple beam at whatever you decide to aim it at. Cats are not impressed (stick with red for them). It is well made and appears substantial.
